Information science and technology (IST) graduates hold a variety of information technology positions. Some graduates begin their careers in user support, system/network administration or software development. Others find jobs in the area of big data analytics as data scientists or database managers. A career area rapidly growing in popularity is cybersecurity and information assurance. Other possible career paths include IT consulting, e-commerce, human-computer interaction and systems analysis and design.
